DeLiberations

DeLiberations is based in the Educational and Staff Development unit at London Guildhall University and is currently funded and fully supported by the university. It was set up in 1995 with funding from the eLib (Electronic Libraries) Programme with staff and project management initially divided between London Guildhall and Kingston Universities. Details on the setting up of the project can be found in the Project Proposal document. DeLiberations is designed to act as:

  1. a resource for educational developers, librarians, academic staff and managers in education, with material arranged by Discipline and by Educational Issue
  2. a forum for readers to discuss and develop ideas, and identify resources that will aid their work. DeLiberations runs a parallel mailing list at mailbase, deliberations-forum as a further arena for discussion.

New Chalk

New Chalk is a bi-weekly newsletter that explores 'new' chalk: networked instructional techniques. Each issue 'will focus on real, practical examples of how instructors use the new technology in their teaching. Our reviews of these models will be brief and to the point, centered on a common topic'. It is based at the University of North Carolina, U.S.A. There is a facility for sharing ideas on the topics covered by New Chalk. This site also provides links to courses at UNC and to other relevant sites.
